The Tatty Tenors and Diva4 The Tatty Tenors are back at Music By The Lake in 2005. Noted for their unorthodox arrivals on stage (a surf life saving boat, Harley Davidson motorbikes and a converted DC3 aircraft bus are examples of their last three performances here) they were named for the condition of their well worn “white ties and tales”. Ralph, Ron, Jim and Ted first came together for a convent school fund raiser in 1996 (between them they had 17 children at the school) In 2001 they were joined by Soprano Sharon Moore. They have a wide ranging international repertoire of Italian, Spanish and Irish Songs. While the Tatty Tenors take their music and singing very seriously they don’t take themselves quite as seriously. Although the group has performed extensively in Australia, in 2004 they performed in Dublin at the James Joyce Festival and in Malta as guests of the Australian High Commission. In June this year they performed at the Bloomsday Festival in Melbourne. How will the Tatty Tenors arrive this year? |
