Another great musical evening at Music By The Lake. In the quite of the evening beautiful music drifted through Samford Valley. Ferny Grove High School and Friends again demonstrated the quality and depth of their music program with an outstanding rendition by their percussion ensemble. Jenni Flemming on piano and Gwyn Roberts on cello demonstrated their excellence as musicians. With extensive national and international performances to their credit these musicians gave a brilliant performance that was enthusiastically received by the excellent audience. Tarita Botsman and Lisa Lockman performing as the Sirens of Song made two appearances that quickly explained why they have appeared in the great opera houses of the world. The Brisbane Sinfonia conducted by Antoni Bonetti and Gwyn Roberts are respected throughout Queensland and they did not let the audience down with their selection of music. The Australian Voices have appeared in more than fifteen countries and these motivated young adult singers indicated why they are a leading choir in the world. This music evening presented to the audience an experience that would cost a small fortune in other parts of the world. You just cannot afford to stay home and go to bed on Music By The Lake nights.
